 Kidney cancer forums
« Thread Started on Aug 5, 2007, 6:15am »

In addition to involvement with this Akcos forum you may find it valuable to join or browse other kidney cancer forums. Here are the two most active I know about.

Kidney Cancer UK (United Kingdom) at www.kcuk.org includes an active forum at www.kcuk.org/vbulletin and a chat room open one hour a week.

The Kidney Cancer Association (based in the USA) at www.curekidneycancer.org also has an active forum.

There's also the mailing list called Kidney-Onc (The Kidney Cancer Online Support Group) Pam described at the beginning of this thread, with 1682 subscribers as at 5th August 2007. "KIDNEY-ONC is an e-mail discussion group for patients with kidney cancer, their family and friends. Health professionals with an interest in this area are encouraged to join". The direct link to it is http://cancerguide.org/kofaq/kofaqframe.html or you can find it by going to the Association of Cancer Online Resources (ACOR) website at www.acor.org .

Hello.

We are conducting some research in Melbourne for a client who specializes in medical care information. In this instance we are looking specifically for people who have had kidney cancer in the last 5 years.

The one on one interviews will take about 40 minutes. Everything people tell us will be confidential.

What we want to do is:
• Show you some information about medicine used to treat one type of kidney cancer
• Ask you some questions about the information to check whether it is working
• Check whether the information answers the sorts of questions you personally had when you were being treated
• Discuss ways of improving the information.

If you or someone you know has had kidney cancer in the last 5 years, please reply email or give me call.
Lynnette Griffiths Market Research Services Tel 03 97427512 or email lynnettegriffiths@corplink.com.au
A $80 cash incentive is paid to all participants.
Please note this is strictly Market Research only. All opinions and comments remain anonymous and we respect your privacy.
